I Thought Bed & Breakfast Inn’s Were Not For Me
It did not naturally occur to me to consider a Bed & Breakfast when looking for accommodations for myself or a client.
A visit to House of Lydia’s Bed & Breakfast in Lynchburg, Virgina caused me to have a new perspective.
Have you ever stepped into a home, hotel or property and felt totally at home and comfortable? A place that delights all your senses.
Ms Bonnie is an amazing host. She is welcoming and a wonderful cook. The little touches make you feel relaxed and at home. Handcrafted soaps are in all the bathrooms, complimentary tea service that features pastries from the local bakery and fresh produce from the local farmers market. This newly renovated property is comfortable yet luxurious. There are touches of marble
and handcrafted tiles, fireplaces and antique furniture. The grounds include a screened in porch and lovely gardens.
The breakfast offerings are generous with an eye for the healthy, the natural and the organic.
The Innkeeper has the gift of hospitality and is inspired by the biblical character of Lydia who is known for her hospitality and her desire to care for people passing through, hence the name House of Lydia. In keeping with this Biblical ideal she offers special rates to missionaries and members of clergy.
The artwork of Marion Howard adds special touches throughout the home. I am cured and now have an open mind and will consider Bed & Breakfast Inn’s as a result of Innkeeper Bonnie Adams and The House Of Lydia in Lynchburg Virginia.
